Dick Vermeil Goes Long To Save SS United States

LEGENDARY NFL COACH Dick Vermeil is going long to save the SS United States ocean liner. Former Eagles coach was applauded for his volunteer work to save the historic ship at a reception held at Independence Seaport Museum on Friday, June 15, 2012. Vermeil, 75,  recorded a public-service announcement to aid Conservancy’s efforts. Susan Gibbs, executive director of the SS United States Conservancy and board member Marc Byers, presented Vermeil with the National Flagship Champion Medal.  Rory McGlasson (c) 2012
